A letter to Bollywood

Dear Bollywood,
since I've started watching you, the only question that clicks on my mind is "Does any life gets that better?". you've given us variety of different stories but how does everything is so perfect there. you have portrayed love and heartbreaks both in a very beautiful way. But in reality it's exactly opposite. And even the college life that you have shown has given me so much expectations.
I can't forget the way Raj and Simran fall in love together and Raj fought for their love until she runs away with him and that's too with her father's permission. But it's difficult and very rare to find such stories in real.

In kkhh, Anjali loved Rahul from the very beginning and she didn't married to Aman so that she could marry that boy who once broke her heart, strange right. Rahul once said, "Anjali, pyar sirf ek baar hota hai aur shadi bhi"
but he didn't proved his own sayings. But it's true that in reality, people love many people and now-a-days marriage also happens multiple times.
There's thousands of story that you made and still making, some re-making also. I thought with times you'll change, but; the expectations increased more with films like om shanti om, ashiqui2.
where a big film star like Shanti priya is going at a date with junior artist like om, which is irrelevant to the reality. And on top of that; om re-born as om kapoor to take revenge for his love. The story absolutely amazed the audience but where we could relate to such stories,
And there's Rahul jacker a very popular singer fall for arohi; a middleclass girl with a dream to become a singer. Then to make her a big star like him, he ruined his own career. It's not just rare but this is not possible in real life.
I am not telling that don't make such stories but it gives us expectations and we start comparing our lives with life that you portray to us. we want stories with which we can absolutely relate to.
And here it doesn't ends, not just with love you have manipulated our mind also by showing your perfect college life. Be it 'Main hoon na' or 'student of the year'; the promp nights and all those Bollywood vibes that we got watching these movies. we never got it in real life, I swear.
we all had once expected that our dupatta may stuck to somebody's watch lol😂. And those romantic rainy dances were literally like some fairy tale to many Indian girls. That train scene is favourite for any Bollywood movies right; which Ddlj started.
The only thing I want to tell is that please stop giving us expectations. we start imagining the things which won't happen even in parallel universe😅

with love,
sonali paria
